Looking back at my April From the Chair I am now so relieved we are through hopefully the worst of the pandemic, and everyone in the group is safe and well. I am sure we hoped to be somewhat more released from Lock Down by now, however we must all continue to work within the guidelines and use our common sense, even if that sadly means we cannot meet together in person at the moment.
Thank goodness we have had some fabulous weather to enjoy our gardens, wildlife and our beautiful Surrey Hills. I am sure you have all been busy bees with our wonderful hobby of patchwork and quilting. I have discovered lots of half finished gems in my now very tidy workroom so plenty to keep me occupied. At least I now know exactly what is in my stash and I am trying to make holes in it!
I hope you have made a start on your Lock Down Challenge? I was determined to have a go and so have had a great few days developing a cushion cover that fits the bill. It is so nice to be creative and try out a new project. Do send us the photos of your completed Challenge so we can include them in the next Newsletter.
Please keep in touch with the committee. We will continue with the fortnightly update emails, but it would be great to hear your news and to receive feedback either by WhatsApp, email or at the fortnightly zoom meetings.
Please let us know if you did not receive the last newsletter so we can rectify that. If you change your email address tell our membership Secretary so she can update the membership list, as that may be the problem.
Meanwhile, stay safe and “keeeeeeep sewwwing”…..
